January 30, 2026 — Kyiv
Nearly 300 physicians gathered in person at Kyiv’s Premier Hotel Rus, joined by more than 2,500 online participants from across Ukraine, for SMART.FORUM, a continuing-education conference organized in the established “Conversation with Experts” format. The event, focused on the intersection of current protocols in respiratory medicine, was supported by Delta Medical’s Primary Healthcare team.

Scale and Reach
SMART.FORUM drew over 2,500 physician registrations through a dedicated conference website organized by Delta Medical, which also served as a platform for the live broadcast, speaker materials, and a post-event content archive. The hybrid format allowed physicians outside Kyiv to participate in real time and access session recordings afterward, extending the program’s reach well beyond the conference hall.
Clinical Focus
The scientific program was built around a single overarching theme: points of intersection among current protocols in respiratory medicine. Within that framework, sessions and hands-on workshops addressed four priority areas:
- Differential diagnosis across overlapping respiratory and allergic presentations
- Optimal treatment selection in light of current Ukrainian clinical guidelines
- Interdisciplinary coordination between allergology, otolaryngology, pulmonology, and pediatrics
- Therapy monitoring and effectiveness assessment in real-world clinical settings
Specific workshop topics included contemporary approaches to bronchial asthma management, decision-making in acute and chronic rhinosinusitis (medical versus surgical pathways), pneumonia and respiratory symptoms in children, and complex clinical cases requiring multidisciplinary input.

Faculty
The program featured six of Ukraine’s leading specialists across the respiratory and allergic disease spectrum:
- Serhiy V. Zaikov, MD, DSc, Professor — President of the Ukrainian Association of Allergologists
- Vasyl I. Popovych, MD, DSc, Professor — Ministry of Health of Ukraine expert advisor in otolaryngology
- Lesya V. Besh, MD, DSc, Professor — pediatrician and pediatric allergologist
- Olena O. Rechkina, MD, DSc — Head of the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergology
- Oleksandr Yu. Bredun, MD, DSc, Professor — Department of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology
- Ihor V. Khoruzhyi, MD, PhD — founder and Chief Physician of LORIMED Medical Centre
The breadth of the faculty roster reflects the conference’s core premise: that effective management of respiratory conditions in both adults and children increasingly depends on coordinated, cross-specialty clinical reasoning rather than siloed approaches.

Delta Medical’s Primary-HC Team
Delta Medical’s Primary Healthcare division served as a central presence at the event. The team operated a dedicated exhibition stand where attending physicians could engage with product information, participate in educational quizzes, and review clinical materials relevant to the conference program. Delta Medical’s participation at SMART.FORUM is part of the division’s broader strategy of embedding Delta Medical within the professional education ecosystem that serves frontline clinicians across Ukraine.
