Integrated Approaches in Oncology: From Surgical Practice to Functional Rehabilitation — Vinnytsia, October 10, 2025

On October 10, Vinnytsia hosted the scientific-practical conference “Інтегровані підходи в онкології: від хірургічної практики до функціональної реабілітації.” The event marked the 80th anniversary of the Municipal Enterprise “Podilskyi Regional Cancer Center of the Vinnytsia Regional Council.”

Sessions ran in a hybrid format at MontBlanc Congress Hall, with clinicians joining in person and international speakers contributing online.

Clinical and scientific program

The agenda covered modern oncosurgery, systemic therapy, head and neck oncology, perioperative and functional rehabilitation, and palliative care. Discussions focused on multidisciplinary pathways that link surgical decision-making with biomarker-driven therapy and structured rehabilitation protocols.

Case-based sessions helped translate guidelines into day-to-day practice for surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and rehabilitation specialists.

Key opinion leaders and institutions

Speakers included Yuliia Ihorivna Zaiveliova, MD, an oncologist at the Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology, National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv). Her case review on metastatic colorectal cancer highlighted how EGFR-targeted therapy enabled surgical conversion and improved long-term outcomes. Clinical leaders from the Podilskyi Regional Cancer Center framed the regional context and emphasized service modernization and care integration.

Delta Medical participation

Delta Medical participated as a main partner. Our Oncology and Clinical Nutrition teams engaged clinicians throughout the day at an active exhibition stand. Physicians sampled Priora specialized enteral nutrition and discussed adherence, flavor variety, and perioperative use in head and neck surgery.

Medical conversations also focused on bone health and prevention of skeletal-related events, with strong interest in Xgeva (denosumab) and Prolia (denosumab). In parallel, oncologists reviewed EGFR-targeted strategies in metastatic colorectal cancer, including Vectibix (panitumumab), and how molecular profiles inform treatment planning.

Across the meetings we aligned next steps with hospital leadership: ward-level demos for nutrition support, sampling logistics with the pharmacy service, and a joint CME session on fracture-risk mitigation in oncology. Our teams distributed clinical summaries and quick-reference materials to support implementation.

Market and practice insights

Three signals stood out. First, centers seek end-to-end pathways that connect surgery, systemic therapy, and structured rehabilitation, with head and neck recovery a priority.

Second, demand is rising for perioperative nutrition with practical formats that improve adherence and speed discharge readiness.

Third, tumor biology is driving more conversion-to-surgery strategies in metastatic disease, which elevates interest in EGFR-targeted regimens and coordinated MDT decision-making across Ukraine and neighboring CIS/EAEU markets.
